Lynne Richardson Community Centre provides support and assistance to both local and the broader community through programs tailored for all ages and stages of life. Our primary focus is to offer assistance to the most vulnerable in our community and to help alleviate poverty through the delivery of such services as a food bank, emergency relief and outreach programs. To advocate for clients who may find themselves dis-empowered by social structures. To work closely with other agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients. To work closely with Local, State, and Federal governments for the betterment of the local community.

The Lynne Richardson Community Centre’s philosophy is underpinned by basic social justice principles: · Access – all clients have equal access to the services offered by the Centre · Equity – all clients are valued as unique individuals and have equal opportunity to develop and grow.  · Rights – all clients are treated with respect and their individual cultural, social and belief systems valued. · Participation – The Lynne Richardson Community Centre has an open door policy and all clients are welcome to participate.  The Lynne Richardson Community Centre operates under a strengths based framework where the uniqueness of all clients is accepted and celebrated.

The Lynne Richardson Community Centre’s aim is to promote a safe and harmonious environment to help create stability within the community. To provide a welcoming, safe and educational space where clients can develop and grow in a manner best suited to their own individual uniqueness fully supported by staff. To help alleviate poverty in both the local and broader community through the delivery of such services as a food bank, emergency relief and outreach programs. A Message of Support

During these uncertain times the Management Committee and volunteers at the Lynne Richardson Community Centre will continue to offer support to our local and wider Gold Coast community for as long as we can keep the doors open. We are all in this together and it is our sense of common-unity that will help get us through to the other side.
